I was told that this almost crashed someone's computer so I guess be warned also lmk if anything doesn't work. You might also want to turn your volume down before playing.
When going into this project I had only a few general ideas and no coding experience with p5 so I decided to do something simple and easy to figure out. I had done my previous posters on Legend of Zelda so I decided to choose Twilight princess because I thought the concept of switching between light and twilight in that game would be a fun and easy thing to implement into an interactive poster. For the "light" version of the poster I decided to have a bright color palette and made everything flat color drawings that are slightly blurred so that it all fit together. For the "twilight" version of the poster I decided to layer real images over the drawings and also edited a bunch of real life animals / realistic drawings to create the create the creatures and also used a darker color palette for the background in order to contrast the "light version of the poster" and also represent how unnerving the twilight world is compared to the normal world in the original game. I implemented a "killable" twilight beast that creates a portal just like in the game because I thought it would be cool to have something that stays between both versions just like in the game. I implemented the wolf sense from the game and it reveals clues as to some of the interactions in the game just like how using it gives you hints like in the game. Overall I think I was able to properly represent the things I remember most about Twilight Princess in this poster and I would of loved to implement more / implement it better but coding experience held me back.
IMPORTANT - before anything else you're going to have to zoom out to see the full poster, when making this I made the resolution way bigger than a normal desktop resolution so you need to zoom out (should be able to do that by clicking ctrl and - at the same time or by scrolling with your mousewheel while holding control)
Click with your mouse to remove the title screen (all of the functions below still happen while the title screen is up)
Press enter to switch between light and twilight versions of the poster
press shift while in the twilight version of the poster to switch between wolf sight (make sure to turn it off before switch back to light because it glitches and idk how to fix it)
click on the twilight beast to create a portal (because it causes a small problem I don't know how to fix)
click on the bird in twilight version to make a sound
click on the portal in any version to make a sound
